4.4 Asset Protection 

The Provincial Coordinator must not fail to ensure that:

  • ORWC has adequate property and liability insurance coverage, to the extent that the operating capability of the organization will not be compromised in the short term or jeopardized in the longer term if possible.

  • Adequate liability insurance for Board members is maintained.

  • Adequate security, safety, and maintenance measures area in place, and that the property and equipment is not subject to unreasonable wear and tear.

  • Appropriate and generally accepted financial controls are in place.

  • All financial assets are held in secure accounts.

  • Adequate safety measures are in place to protect information that is of a confidential nature.

  • No purchase or expenditures are made that are in excess of the approved budget.
